Because both sides look so great! So we think maybe it could work either ways ;) But we were told that the side with the buttons going from shoulder to waist diagonally was the front. ;) Such a cute little 1950s 1960s cotton dress. We imagine girls from the day going to tea parties and dancing the evening away in this! Closes with a side zip.
